There are a couple of things to check for a leaking Dometic RV Water Heater # DMC74FR since your connections are sound. The first thing you want to check is the relief valve (if you aren't sure where that is I have added a link below to the instructions which point it out), as that can sometimes drip.

I've attached a diagram below showing that the White wire will run to your water pump, Red to your 12v power source, Black to your sensor strips as the ground, and Blue to your sensor strips as the positive. To make your connections you can use some 18 gauge wire.
